Купив видеокарту Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 550, можно получить более производительный адаптер, чем стоило ожидать

Вчера мы узнали о том, что в ассортименте Sapphire появилась урезанная версия видеокарты Radeon RX 560, которую по внешним признакам никак нельзя отличить от полноценной. Видимо, такой подход компании понравился, так как она выпустила адаптеры Pulse Radeon RX 550, которые также не соответствуют стандартным спецификациям. Только в данном случае, в другую сторону.

Дело в том, что Radeon RX 550 основана на GPU Polaris 12, который содержит в её случае 512 потоковых процессоров. Однако в полной конфигурации этот GPU содержит 640 потоковых процессоров, и именно столько активны у версий для OEM-производителей.

Sapphire, судя по всему, первой решила вывести в розницу такие адаптеры. Как и в случае с RX 560, каким-то образом отличить разные версии по упаковке не выйдет. В этом случае карты даже внешне полностью идентичны.

Что интересно, модификации с 640 потоковыми процессорами имеют меньшие частоты. Если говорить о видеокарте с 2 ГБ, то такая версия работает на частотах 1071 МГц и 6000 МГц для ядра и памяти соответственно, тогда как у обычной модели частоты составляют 1206 МГц и 7000 МГц. У карты с 4 ГБ памяти ситуация схожа, только память в обоих случаях трудится на частоте 6000 МГц.

Что же касается непосредственно видеокарт, они оснащены однослотовыми системами охлаждения и предлагают порты DVI, HDMI и DisplayPort.
